The Dacia Bigster concept

Dacia is not a name we hear very often, the last time being the Duster pick-up, but now they have revealed the Bigster concept. This is a no-nonsense mid-size SUV that is currently planned to launch in 2025. It’s all part of their parent company’s (Renault Groupe) new plan, “Renaulution.”

What we know about the Dacia Bigster Concept.

The sharp angles with a lack of extra frills give the Bigster a raw and rugged appearance that we really like. It’s not without any unique design with LED headlights that run across the front of the car and ‘Y’ shaped taillights.

The matte black skid plates are made from recycled plastic which is something more cars should be doing as standard.

“No bells and whistles, no chrome trim or imitation-aluminium, the Bigster Concept is a genuine vehicle made with genuine principles, shown in the use of raw recycled plastics for all protective exterior panels.” – Dacia

Once in production, Dacia plans on using Renault’s CMF-B modular platform and have suggested that it may either be an EV or a hybrid. Only time can tell.

“As the possible future figurehead of the Dacia range, both alternative-energy and hybrid engines are possible, reinforcing that the brand is always perfectly in sync with changing regulation and customers’ expectations.” – Dacia

We are curious about what you think. Do you like the Dacia Bigster and should it come to South Africa?
