2020 World Car Awards winners

In April 2020, the organizers of the 2020 World Car Awards have announced their winners. Both overall and category winning cars virtually took their trophies as the current COVID-19 pandemic has caused all events to close or be postponed. 

Overall 2020 World Car Awards winner

This year, Kia Motor Corporation took the crown with the overall World Car of the Year with their Telluride. It’s a large SUV with a lot of space and a lot of quality. Powered by a 3.8-litre engine that gives 217kW and 355Nm, it took its prize with force. Overall 2020 World Car Award

Urban Car

The story doesn’t end there for Kia as they took a double victory. The snazzy Kia Soul EV took the 2020 World Urban Car Award. There’s no surprise that an EV would take this award but the Kia Soul EV takes it with more than just its fuel-saving, zero-emission electric engine. Capable of reaching 480 km, it will suite day to day travel easily and It will charge to 80% in just 40 minutes using a fast charger. Urban Car Award

Luxury & Performance Car

While Kia Motors took a double victory, there was also one single car that took a double victory by itself. By claiming both the 2020 World Luxury Car and 2020 World Performance Car Awards, the new all-electric Porsche Taycan creates its own spotlight. Car Design

Last but not least, the 2020 World Car Design Award went to the Mazda 3Made to look like an animal that Is about to pouncethis car does look stunning and what’s even better, you don’t have to buy higher range models to do that because they all look about the same. The interior keeps up the design standards with lots of interesting shapes and features that make it feel sporty.
