Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo

It’s not all the time that we are wowed by a game so much that we want to write about it here, but the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo has us excited. Its sadly only built for the digital world, the game calling it “a pure sports car powered by the Hayabusa engine.”

When it comes to marketing, the video game Gran Turismo holds significant weight. Enough so that car companies will create cars just for it. This is exactly what we see in this Suzuki Roadster.

The car looks stunning. It’s aggressive enough to take it seriously but cute enough to make you want to stare at it. Suzuki’s designers said that they were inspired by the Suzuki Swift Sport and Cappuccino. Both are very evident in the final design. Additional features include cameras instead of mirrors, a yoke steering wheel and a very clean two-seater cabin.

The engine is something you would only see in a video game. It’s a mid-mounted 1.3-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine from the Hayabusa accompanied by three electric motors (two in the front and one in the back). With an incredibly low kerb weight of 970 kg and an output of 318 kW and 610 Nm, the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo is a very fast roadster.

The only thing left to say is that we want Suzuki to take a page out of Porsches book and build this stunning looking car. Even if there is only one, we want to see it!
