Lexus is Showing Off an Electric Sports Car

Lexus is putting their strongest food forward into the electric market with a striking electric sports car. It was at the end of 2021 that Toyota announced its electric plans for the future, hinting at a few Lexus models. One of them being a stunning looking sports car.

Now, Lexus is giving us the full look at what they have been planning with photos. Even though this is likely never going to see our garages, it still gets us excited.

This electric Lexus really stands out.

Before we talk about what Lexus has done, it’s important to note that this may not be the final design. Lexus has not called this electric sports car a concept, but it also hasn’t called it anything else. From what we can assume, this might be what a production-ready EV Lexus will look like with additional features that will be removed.

So, what can we tell?

The electric sports car is a two-seater with a gorgeous profile. The long bonnet, smooth angles and short deck make this car look like it could glide through anything. Interestingly, there is no rear window. This likely means that there is a camera in its place displaying the rear on a screen in the cabin.

Lexus has not given us much about the powertrain, but they hint that it will be able to reach 100 km/h in the incredibly fast two-second range. As for range, Lexus says that the battery will allow it to reach 700 km, but they have not given any details about it.

We hope that Lexus sticks closely to this design as it really stands out as an EV. We imagine that a rear window might become a requirement, but with tinted glass, that won’t change much in the way it looks.
