Can someone make the Thundertruck EV concept real
This is what you get when you ask real designers to create a futuristic truck, the Thundertruck. This EV concept was designed by Wolfgang LA to be “more versatile, powerful, adaptable and efficient.” Despite my jab at Tesla’s Cybertruck, this cool looking off-roader is something that shouldn’t just stay a concept and Wolfgang LA agrees.
This Thundertruck is the coolest electric bakkie we have soon so far.
Those sharp angles that define the body of this car aren’t all just for show. They maximise the surface area for solar wings. that can expand to both charge the Thundertruck in the sun and provide a roof for the weary travellers while they wait.
While performance would all just be theory, Wolfgang LA wants very powerful electric engines that would make it comparable to the high-performance electric bakkies that are still waiting on production. It would also have a ground clearance of 37 cm, an approach angle of 42-degrees and a departure angle of 82-degrees.
While this is all just a concept from a design company, the creators do hope that this concept could make it to production. Who wouldn’t?
Where things do get crazy is when you look at the 6×6 version that Wolfgang LA designed too. While that likely won’t make production if the Thundertruck where to make it, the designers definitely had a lot of fun with this car. It, of course, would not be complete without mentioning that Wofgang LA would want even more performance to go along with a much-increased size.
