New Fiat 500X: Let the adventure begin

Hot on the heels of the new Fiat 500, the popular range has added the new Fiat 500X into the family mix.

Fiat re-imagined the iconic 500 concept when launching the 500X – keeping everything that is cool about Fiat 500 and combining it with the practical trend towards cross-over vehicles and the adventures they bring.

Now there are new fresh derivatives of the Fiat 500X, providing an exciting opportunity to continue the mobility journey. Each boasts a high standard of specification, further boosting the distinct characteristics of each model.

The popular Fiat 500X shares Cult, Connect and Sport trim levels with the 500 family, but adds a specific Cross level to its unique character.

With its hero colour in new Arancio Sicilia orange, the 500X Cult sits on 16-inch alloy wheels with urban front and rear bumpers. Halogen day-time running lights and LED taillights set off glossy black mirrors and chrome door handles and external details to convey a sense of modern elegance. A 3.5” black and white TFT Cluster display keeps everything on what’s going on inside your SUV under control.

Blue Monogram cloth seats and air conditioning are standard along with Uconnect radio with four speakers, traffic sign recognition and Speed Advisor, an electric parking brake, Lane Assist and cruise control with speed limiter.

Fiat 500X Connect adds 16-inch alloy wheels, LED day-time running lights and body-colour mirrors, fog lights and privacy glass. Dedicated interiors are enhanced with a Techno-leather multi-function steering wheel, height-adjustable driver’s seat, and a front arm rest. Six speakers play the Uconnect seven-inch touchscreen radio with CarPlay and AndroidAuto, while a 3.5” TFT Colour Cluster rain and dusk sensors control wipers and lights for added convenience, along with rear parking sensors.

Cross is distinguished by 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates and roof rails, with satin chrome door handles and exterior details, including body colour mirror caps and fog lights. Camo seats complete the adventure, with automatic air conditioning, courtesy lights, and cold grey dashboard as an option.

The distinct feel of Cross comes alive through the Uconnect seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with six speakers and CarPlay and Android Auto. The dusk sensor automatically turns on headlamps to continue those adventures way past sunset.

A bolder package combining style and personality is embodied in Fiat 500X Sport featuring 19-inch rims available as standard. Full LED headlamps and fog lights, body colour wheel arch mouldings and side skirts, titanium finishing details, privacy glass, and a chrome tailpipe really set off the 500X well. Sport seats, Technoleather steering wheel and titanium dashboard give the 500X Sport a feeling fitting of its name with the state-of-the-art Uconnect infotainment system.

The Fiat 500X is brimming with technology from recognising road signs and displaying them on the dashboard for the driver’s convenience to Lane Assist that warns of veering off course and corrects the steering back into the lane. The cruise control adds relaxation to longer journeys, allowing the cruise speed to be set and letting Fiat 500X do the rest to automatically help the driver keep it. Rear parking sensors ease parking, while the innovative electric parking brake keeps the vehicle safe, anywhere its parked.

Powering your adventures is Fiat’s 1,4-litre direct injection petrol engine, available in six-speed manual transmission for 500X Cult and Connect and DDCT automatic transmissions for 500X Sport and Cross. With 103kW at 5 000rpm and 230Nm at 2 500 rpm, the Fiat 500X will conquer any adventure in consummate style.

The Fiat 500X life isn’t complete without a vast array of standard safety and convenience features that really do make a difference in your everyday adventures.

With six airbags as standard, the Fiat 500X is destined to keep your adventurous spirit on track. Active crash protection includes front airbags for driver and passenger, along with curtain airbags and side bags. Those daytime running lights – inspired by the zero in the 500 logo – create added visibility on the road, along with their distinctive cool factor.

ABS is standard across the range, as is Electronic Stability Control. For added convenience, the hill-holder will make you look like a pro on every uphill pull off and take away ones traffic stress.
