SVI Engineering return with an armoured VW Amarok V6

SVI Engineering is back with an armoured Volkswagen Amarok V6 Double-cab. We have seen SVI offer an array of armouring solutions before, previously creating their own Max3 which is based on a Toyota Land Cruiser. SVI Engineering has also made an agreement with Ford SA to produce armour upgrades to the Ranger lineup.

SVI Engineering will offer both B4 and B6 levels of armouring to the Amarok. Both of which are roadworthy.

The basic B4 armouring offers handgun protection up to a .44 Magnum. This upgrade will add an additional 280 kg of weight which the 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine can handle with no issue.

The B6 armoured Amarok V6 can withstand attacks from assault rifles and the AK47. For this upgrade, the interior is stripped and replaced by steels plates and other composite materials. The windows are also replaced by 38 mm glass. This will add 650 kg onto the weight which SVI Engineering will give an upgraded suspension to handle.
