Fuel price drops in November 2020

Good news for South Africa as the fuel price is set to drop in November 2020. Thanks to “a slightly firmer Rand and softer international petroleum prices” says the Automobile Association (AA) while commenting on the unaudited month-end fuel price data released by the Central Energy Fund.

The only snag with this news is that illuminating paraffin which did not follow petrol and diesel. Its price has increased.

November 2020 fuel price.

According to the AA, petrol prices will go down by as much as 27 cents. Diesel will decrease by about 11 cents. Illuminating paraffin, on the other hand, is expected to see an increase of 15 cents.

The AA added that the exchange rate and oil pricing data has been more stable over the last two month period. This means that we may see the prices level out.

“We are hoping that this is the case because fuel price stability would come as a welcome relief to individuals and corporates alike in the current economic conditions.” – AA
