Audi Connect to launch with the new A4

Arriving in South Africa this October, Audi has added their new Audi Connect technology to the 2020 A4. With plans to add this tech to most of Audi’s range, it will offer owners a host of features that link the car to the driver through their smartphone. This will mark the 2020 Audi A4 as the brand’s cornerstone for their digital connection services.

What do you get with Audi Connect?Audi Connect features

Put plain and simply, Audi Connect will provide real-time information about your car, no matter where you are. Through the myAudi app, owners can access a range of infotainment, entertainment, safety and other services at any time. This will include internet services to the car via a sim installed in the car. As a whole, Audi aims for their MMI (multimedia interface) and virtual cockpit to become the “mechanic of use.”

Described as the central nervous system of this new technology, owners will have access to everything from Audi Connect through the myAudi app. This includes important vehicle information, data and configuration of certain services. The “important information” covers fuel level, range, service appointments, warning messages and a variety of key information that as a driver, will want to keep on top of.

As we mentioned before, Audi will be launching the Audi Connect feature with the new A4 and then moving it to the rest of their model offerings. There are a few exceptions, like the Q2, TT and R8 models.
