Police arrest viral over 300km/h speeder
In a recent viral video, a South African driver showed themselves reaching speeds of over 300km/h. Since then, the police department has investigated and have arrested the speeder.
The video shows an unknown driver traveling at high speeds, reaching 308km/h. With the little information from the video, the police have tracked the suspect down to a funeral in Limpopo and made the arrest.
Police have shared that the suspect is a 38-year-old male driving a red Audi TT. He was speeding on the N1 in Johannesburg. The road has a 120 km/h speed limit which he more than doubled.
The dangers of driving over 300km/h
Driving at these speeds, the Audi speeder made the roads very dangerous for obvious reasons. The chances of an accident increase drastically. He decreased the amount of time he or someone else could react. If even the slightest thing went wrong for the speeder, it would have very likely resulted in an accident.
