November Auto Sales: Toyota sales rise 2.6 percent
Toyota Motor Sales USA said Tuesday its sales rose 2.6 percent last month from a year earlier, led by gains in its popular Camry and Prius models.
BY THE NUMBERS: Sales rose to 133,700 vehicles in November, from 130,307 in the same month in 2008. For the year so far, sales are down 23.2 percent.
HOT MODELS: Consumers continued to flock to Toyota’s fuel-efficient models, driving up sales of the Camry and Camry Hybrid by a combined 8.6 percent. Sales of the popular Prius hybrid rose 11.1 percent.
