With international exhibitors such as Pooley’s Flight Equipment (UK), Concorde Battery Group (USA), Airpart Supply Limited (USA), Southern Cross (USA), Eisenschmidt (Germany), BOSE (The Netherlands) and Garmin (France), and South African exhibitors such as Unisa, Aeronautical, Sling Aircraft, Pilot Insure, Wings n Things, PJ Aviation, Vektor Aviation, DJA Aviation, Ntsu Aviation and VL3 Aviation, AERO South Africa is the perfect platform for the General Aviation sector to network on an annual basis and discuss supplier terms, place orders and exchange latest information.

The event will benefit the local economy as it brings South African and international suppliers to the City of Tshwane and connects them to private airplane and fleet owners, pilots as well as potential buyers.

Airmed&Rescue (UK), African Pilot, Airnews, Aviation4SA and Aero Club have already been signed up as media partners. The event also offers visitors the opportunity to fly-in. Free landing, approach, and passenger fees are available for registered fly-ins. This year, AERO South Africa will continue to include more drones, which is one of the fastest-growing sectors in General Aviation. The General Aviation insurance and finance sector will also be highlighted, as the market is picking up post-Covid.

Crew change.

In addition to the exciting line-up of participating companies, AERO South Africa would like to announce a change in show management. After successfully leading the event through the pandemic and the relaunch thereafter, Annelie Reynolds will be stepping down as the Show Director and will be handing over to Louise Olckers.

Louise Olckers, a former South African Air Force veteran and the General Manager of the Commercial Aviation Association of South Africa (CAASA), brings almost 20 years of experience in event planning and aviation to AERO South Africa. She has been instrumental in enabling networking and knowledge exchange within the aviation industry.

“We are excited that we could bring Louise on board. With her extensive experience and passion for the aviation industry, she is well-positioned to lead Aero South Africa to new heights” comments Michael Dehn, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt South Africa, organisers of the event.

AERO South Africa will feature demo flights by exhibitors, with some aircraft manufacturers showcasing their products in real-time. The Business Matchmaking Programme, which was introduced in 2022, will also be available to exhibitors as an added benefit. The team will profile the business of exhibitors and qualified buyers and schedule business meetings between relevant parties.

Emergency and Rescue services, including aircraft and medical evacuation equipment, will also be featured at the event. A workshop area will feature top speakers discussing relevant topics such as new regulations, safety, and other pertinent topics.

AERO South Africa 2023 promises to be the most exciting and informative aviation event yet, and we are looking forward to welcoming you to this year’s show.
