E-Prix confirmed for Cape Town in 2023
If you asked us a few months ago, we would have told you that we won’t be seeing the 2023 E-Prix in Cape Town. It was all rumours then but now, it’s so real that you can already order tickets.
On the 25th of February 2023, Cape Town is going to host its first electric race. That’s not so far away which is extremely exciting!
The 2023 Cape Town E-Prix tickets are available now.
Cape Town E-Prix is going to be the fifth round of the E-Prix of the FIA’s 9th Formula E world championship season. This makes the Mother City the first sub-Saharan African city to host a round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The track is about 2.8 km long with 12 turns that take the race around the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point. If you are interested in taking part in this event, the ticket price is steep. They start from R1 595 with the priciest option being R3 450. What do those more expensive tickets get you, we don’t know. We would bet that they at least give a better view of the track.

Other than the main event of high-speed electric racing, there will be other sources of entertainment. Mainly live music and a gaming area filled with racing simulators. If you have kids, there is an area for them to explore and play. Finally, there will be more performances around the Allianz E-Village.
