Porsche and Pixar are making a real Sally Carrera from Cars

Pixar is teaming up with Porsche to create a unique car straight from the movie Cars. We all know Pixar for bringing inanimate objects to life and Porsche for making weird works of art come to life too. There is a bit of overlap when it comes to the movie Cars when Pixar introduced a Porsche Carerra named Sally.

Now the two companies are working together to create this one of a kind build donate the proceeds to two charities.

Porsche and Pixar bring Sally Carrera into the real world.

In the movie, Sally Carrera was a 2002 Porsche 911. Now, a real-life Sally Carrera will be a brand-new 992 Porsche 911 with a completely unique style.

To match the film, this new Porsche will be painted in the same colours as Sally and feature her “tattoos”. Porsche aren’t stopping at just cosmetics though. There is a new bumper with an air intake that resembles the character’s smirk and the wheelbase was shortened while the roof was raised to match the cartoonish proportions. Finally, there will be custom Sally wheels to fully bring the car to life.

This car is going to street legal and auctioned off to one buyer who will also receive a unique watch of Porsche Design. Probably to match the car itself. The proceeds will then go to two charities, Girls Inc and USA for UNHCR. The first helps provide education for young women in America. The other charity is working to help resettle refugees of the current war in Ukraine.

Out of all the crazy builds that Porsche has done, this one looks especially fun. Definitely, because this one is drivable, unlike Porsches previous art project.
