The bespoke Pininfarina Battista hypercar

The Pininfarina Battista is a monster of a hypercar that is allowing customers to choose almost everything about its design. When we say monster, we really mean it. This is one of the most powerful battery-powered cars we have seen and will likely never see in real life. Only 150 models will be built, all hand-crafted in direct collaboration with the customers.

The first of 150 unique designs.

The images we have are of the first bespoke commission inspired by New York City, but every other model will likely look a lot different. It combines the colours red, white and blue with exposed carbon fibre. The colour scheme is not “in your face” and we like it more for that. The blue comes from Iconica Blu thread while the red and white are subtle stripes and around the car and the lighting, like the illuminated badge.

Weight was kept to a minimum by using a carbon fibre monocoque, bonded carbon roof and rear carbon subframe. It seems like about everything about the Pininfarina Battista is carbon fibre and this example exposes it all.

Every one of the 150 models will be individually tailored to the customer’s preference, allowing them to create something almost entirely unique for them. This ensures that no two models will be the same, unless, there is someone who wants that we suppose.

This Pininfarina Battista is ridiculously fast.

The hypercar makes use of a fully electric powertrain that powers electric motors with a 120 kWh battery pack. This allows the beast to produce 1417 kW and 2300 Nm. If the driver is not busy enjoying that crazy amount of force, it will have around 450 km of range. If you do want to drive the thing as fast as possible, Pininfarina says the Battista can reach 100 km/h in under two seconds.

This is the same company that designed a crazy concept car for the virtual Teorema concept.
