Teaser for Hyundai Elantra N

Hyundai seems to be preparing for the debut of the upcoming Elantra N performance sedan. This is a segment that has received very little love outside of the premium range and these two images are a look behind the curtain. Let’s take a closer look to make out what Hyundai is letting on.

“Elantra N is a high-performance sedan that reveals the sportier side of our exceptional all-new Elantra through exciting N brand enhancements.” – Till Wartenberg, Vice President of N brand Management & Motorsport sub-division at Hyundai Motor Company.

What can we tell from the teaser for the Hyundai Elantra N.

We are going to start with everything that we can make out for certain before we start any kind of speculation. At the rear, we can make out a massive circular tailpipe that from previous leaks, we know will mirror on the other side of the car. A small and curvy spoiler then sits above an LED strip that connects the taillights.

The second image shows off a closer look at the alloy wheels. These feature a unique snowflake-like design with contrasting black details. These sit above the bright red N-branded brake callipers.

Teaser for Hyundai Elantra N

It’s to be expected with teasers, Hyundai has not let on any information about what powers the Elantra N. That said, we have seen speculation about the company using similar technical components that were used for the recent i30 N hatchback. We are inclined to agree, but it’s way too soon to guess.

“We designed it to be a race proven sportscar with dynamic driving capabilities and style that performance enthusiasts love. I can’t wait to unveil Elantra N, an outstanding addition to the N brand lineup that offers pulse-pounding performance. Stay tuned for the digital world premiere.” – Till Wartenberg
