Nissan Patrol Nismo reveal
Revealing its latest modified vehicle, Nissan has pulled the covers off of the Patrol Nismo. A massive 4×4 SUV on ladder-frame that has just gained several upgrades to the style and performance. The latter includes a tuned engine and new shock absorbers.
A sportier body kit and interior to match.
To make the Patrol Nismo stand out, Nissan has updated the body kit with new bumpers, side skirts and roof spoiler. The bumpers include an integrated front splitter and rear diffuser while a Formula 1 inspired fog lamp stands out at the rear.
The massive grille has been given a hexagon pattern which, with the new bumper, could improve the cooling. More than that, Nissan claims that these changes give improved aerodynamics. Finally, this massive Patrol Nismo has been given new 22-inch alloy wheels that Nissan has managed to make 4.5 kg lighter than the standard version.
Inside, the cabin has been spruced up to match the exterior with Alcantara, leather and carbon fibre. The steering wheel also gets bright red stitching.
The Nissan Patrol Nismo puts the sport where the engine is.
The Patrol Nismo gets its power from a 5.6-litre V8 engine which has tuned to boast 319 kW and 560 Nm. It was tuned by the same “Takumi” (translates to artisan) craftsmen who were responsible for the GT-R’s engine. To bolster the handling, Bilstein shock absorbers were added.
Overall, it’s a very sporty SUV with a complete upgrade over the standard Nissan model.
