Arctic Trucks creates the new Toyota Hilux AT35
Toyota has teamed up with Arctic Trucks to build the Hilux AT35. This new model will include many parts and packages from Arctic Trucks on top of the already very impressive new Hilux model.
The Toyota Hilux double-cab already boasts excellent off-road performance, but now with Arctic Trucks, it’s an even beefier off-road machine.
Arctic Trucks creates the even more impressive Toyota Hilux AT35.
The upgrades given by Arctic Trucks offer some extreme changes to the original Hilux. Chassis to wheels, a lot of the bakkie changes but it is still recognisable. Visually, the Hilux AT35 will have large flared wheel arches and extended side steps. Now let’s take a look at the serious modifications.
The suspension has been completely replaced by Arctic Trucks’ Bilstein setup. This set up features springs and dampers with an adjustable anti-roll bar at the rear.
The suspension upgrade will allow for much larger 35-inch BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres that offer an additional 65 mm of ground clearance. This changes the already great 286 mm to 351 mm. Arctic Trucks also says this will improve the approach and departure angles.
The Toyota Hilux AT35 also gains tweaks to the front and rear differentials and an optional underbody armouring package. More optional features include light bars and a tyre inflation kit.
With everything equipped, the Toyota Hilux AT35 is wider, taller and 115 kg heavier than before. Arctic Trucks claims that this upgrade will also improve the bakkie’s mobility.
