New Audi RS4 Avant and RS5 updates
Audi has refreshed and announced the price for the new RS4 Avant and RS5 Coupé and Sportback models. Both will go on sale in South Africa at the beginning of April 2021. Much like a facelift, the core specifications of both RS models have not been changed. This refresh instead makes more options standard.
New standard features both inside and out of the Audi RS4 Avant and RS5.
Matrix LED headlights are now standard features on the RS5 models, but only an optional add-on for the RS4 Avant. The roof of the RS5 Coupé now has a composite roof as well. This shaves off 4 kg from the top of the Coupé, lowering its centre of gravity. This theoretically should improve its handling.
Inside the cabin of both the Audi RS4 Avant and the RS5 models get RS sports seats finished with Nappa leather and contrast stitching. A 12.3-inch virtual cockpit also comes standard with a Bang&Olufsen sound system.
A reminder of the engine and new sport suspension.
Both the Audi RS4 Avante and RS5 are powered by a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that throws 331 kW and 600 Nm through the Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, this will get all three models to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. Buyers can select an option to get the top speed to 280 km/h.
As standard, the Audi SR4 Avante and RS5 will come equipped with Audi’s advanced sport suspension components and an optional sport differential on the rear axle.
