Rally inspired Audi TT RS 40 Years Edition

It was about a week ago that we discussed the last production version of the Audi TT, following that model now comes a limited-edition RS 40 Years Edition. As the name suggests, this edition of the TT is in celebration of the Quattro badge. The design is inspired by the 1987 Pikes Peak Rally where Audi was driven to victory by Walter Röhrl.

Following the name of 40 Years Edition, there will be just 40 units built that will be specifically for the German market. Just because we won’t be seeing any here, doesn’t mean we can’t marvel at it though.

Finished in Alpine white, the Audi TT RS 40 Years Edition has a lot more colour. Decals that mimic the rally car’s livery detail the bonnet, flanks, roof and boot. The bonnet gains additional detail with a gloss carbon air vent.

More detailing breaks up the white colour that the 20-inch alloy wheels share. Behind them are red brake callipers while the rest of the aero kit, side-sill inserts, door mirror covers and Audi rings are finished in gloss black. “Quattro” and “40 Years of Quattro” can also be found on the doors and rear-quarter windows.

Material updates to the interior.

The cabin has a mix of leather and Alcantara that create a comfortable environment despite the rally theme. The for trims and steering wheel have black Alcantara while the RS sport seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather and white Alcantara that breaks up the black interior with the white contrast stitching. Each model will be individually numbered on the S-tronic gear selector knob.

An option that buyers can choose to take is the removal of the rear seats for a strut cross-brace made of carbon-fibre.

It’s a stunning limited-edition model to add to the send-off of the Audi TT.
