BMW M5 receives M Performance parts
If a BMW M5 is on you to buy list and extra costs aren’t a bother, you will soon be able to get your car with loads of M Performance parts. As one of the brand’s highest performance offerings, especially the BMW M5 Competition, M Performance parts mostly upgrade the sporty design while adding a little bit of more performance. BMW M has even said that these accessories aim to deliver sporty accents as well as driving dynamics and performance.
It’s all about the carbon fibre and keeping clean.
BMW has added a lot of carbon fibre options to the exterior. These include the grille, rear diffuser, side sills, mirror caps, fuel cap, rear boot spoiler and exhaust tips. An extra carbon fibre accessory for leaving your car’s bonnet open is an engine cover. New designed 20-inch M Performance forged alloy wheels finished in Ferric Grey matte are the final change to the exterior and you can keep them clean and cosy with BMW M tyre warmers. Why stop at the tyres when you can get your whole M5 wrapped up for the winter with a new car cover.
Even more carbon fibre is offered for the interior. You can now get an M Performance steering wheel complete with a combination of carbon fibre and Alcantara. Shift paddles and gearbox shifter are both available in carbon fibre too.
BMW is adding M Performance suspensions to the M5.
BMW claims cornering speeds in the M5 will be higher with the now available M Performance sports suspension. It lowers the car by 5 to 20 mm, lowering the centre of gravity.
This updated version of the BMW M5 will be available with the arrival of the 5-Series in South Africa. This means we will see it before the end of 2020.
