Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign
Italdesign and Nissan have recently revealed something special, something car fans have been waiting to see since 2018, the Nissan GT-R50. This limited-edition vehicle has been showing itself off and incredibly well. True to its name, Nissan is only making 50 of them.
The design of the Nissan GT-R50.
Probably one of the coolest things about the design is the fact that it has remained very true to the concept design. Nissan knows this GT-R50 is extreme and they went all the way even to how they describe the design. Because I think their working is so great, I will quote their wording too.
The Nissan GT-R50 has a “pronounced power bulge on the hood” and “stretched LED headlights” that run in horizontal lines. It gets better when we talk about the cooling outlets behind the front wheels described as “prominent samurai blades.”
While I do think the descriptions are amusing, the way this car looks is stunning, a great combination of Japanese and Italian style and Nissan ran with how extreme it all is. Because this is a performance car, it gets an adjustable rear wing.
There are no official details for the interior.
There isn’t too much exciting to talk about in the interior other than it looks great and probably feels great to be sitting in it. There is a lot of carbon fibre trim with what seems to be Alcantara. Racing seats are a must and the infotainment screen looks clear with many physical controls. Overall the interior looks like it’s the quality you would expect with the price you pay.
If the question is about performance, this Nissan can go!
More powerful than your standard GT-R, this car comes with 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine has been modified by Nismo. It produces 530 kW and 780 Nm of torque through all four wheels. It also comes with a dual-clutch sequential six-speed gearbox, larger-diameter racing-spec turbos, bigger intercoolers, a heavy-duty crankshaft and special pistons with high-flow oil jets.
Nissan expects this car to be available in either late 2020 or early 2021 and orders for it are currently available. There is a jaw-dropping price tag of €990 000 but it’s to be expected from a limited-edition sports car with samurai blades.
