Honda BR-V gets updated

It’s back with a new facelift, the Honda BR-V aims to liven up the budget seven-seater SUV market. Improvements have been made to both the interior and exterior to enhance the driving experience and compete with the other cars of its class in 2020.

Honda BR-V’s fresh face for 2020

No groundbreaking changes were made, keeping everything rather standard. From the outside, we can see more use of chrome and a redesigned back bumper. New wheel designs can be seen with LED daytime running lights too. It’s a good looking car that didn’t stray far from 2019.

The mechanics didn’t change

There isn’t much to talk about with the mechanics of the car other than to tell you, “not much.” It runs on the same 1.5-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 118hp and 145Nm. The Honda BR-V was and still is a nice car to drive offering decent performance for what it does – and that is carry families and carpool co-workers around.

Inside you are sitting a little higher

The first thing to notice in comparison to the older models is that the seating position is better for the driver. It’s not perfect but it allows a much better view, as long as you don’t need to make the seat higher because it can’t do that.

There are three models

The ‘Trend’ is the entry level model and it has all the mentioned features. It also comes with air conditioning and includes safety features like ABS brakes, front airbags, and speed sensitive auto locking doors. Every window is electric too.

Next is the ‘Comfort’. It gets alloy wheels and rear parking sensors. There is also automated climate control, however, it does not have vents for the back row of seats. This model also comes with the option to be automatic.

Finally, we have the ‘Elegance’ and it gets a 7-inch infotainment system, which is unfortunately on the small end. It does add a reverse parking camera to make driving a little easier. You also get leather seats and keyless unlocking and starting of the car.
