Audacious Auris with Authentic New Styling Breaks Cover

Toyota will debut fresh exterior and interior designs for the Auris at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

The hatch will be shown alongside the Touring Sports wagon (not available locally) and in addition to fresh styling, features an upgraded cabin as well as new comfort and safety kit.

The new model will arrive on our shores later this year.

The hybrid remains at the heart of the range, having established itself as the flagship powertrain in the line-up, and accounting for around half of all Auris sales in Europe in 2014 – the XR 1.6-litre petrol model is the volume seller locally.

The simultaneous reveal of new Auris and Avensis (not destined for SA launch) follows on from last year’s introduction of Aygo and Yaris to complete a full rejuvenation of Toyota’s core passenger model range.

Toyota will host its Geneva motor show press conference on its stand in Hall 4 at Palexpo, at 12h15 on 3 March 2015.
