To celebrate the centennial of its oldest surviving car, Aston Martin is making a special Vantage Roadster called, Q by Aston Martin. What is the car it’s celebrating, well, it’s chassis No.3 or, A3.
One of the greatest ways to look at this celebration is just how far the company has come in 100 years. Just look at it. Such a massive difference and it gets even better when we look at the engine that powered the original.
Q by Aston Martin to celebrate the legend A3.
100 years is a long time and for a car to survive for so long is a feat of its own. The old Aston Martin A3 is fitted with a functioning 1.5-litre four-cylinder side-valve engine that powers the car with 8 kW. Yes, 8, a massive difference to the Vantage Roadster version that with 321 kW of power. That’s an over 4000 percent improvement. Of course, the comparison is unfair.
The A3 we see here has gone on quite a journey having been restored as close as possible to its original specifications. Now, to celebrate it, there is a new vantage called Q by Aston Martin. The company will be making just three units of this special edition model. Instead of caring about the yet to be announced price, we are just happy looking at the pictures.
