E-Legend create an Audi inspired EL1

E-Legend EL1

E-Legend is a German automotive start-up, a company that has been working on sports BEVs and has just shown off their first model, the EL1. This vehicle draws heavy inspiration from the Audi Quattro S1 rally car from the 1980s. Put them side to side and the EL1 looks like a futuristic version of the Audi.

The E-Legend EL1 is a futuristic 80s car.

Weighing in at 1680 kg, the E-Legend EL1 is built around a carbon monocoque. It takes a very similar shape to its muse. However, the wheels are much bigger with 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels at the back. Both sets are painted in white to resemble the Audi. To add the current trend of daytime LEDs, E-Legend added them in both the front and back.

The interior is yet to be finalised, but it features an entirely digitised cabin. This allows for a very minimalistic design and fits well with the screens for each camera that replaces exterior mirrors.

Three engines ready for the Nurburgring.

Driving this EV are not one, not two, but three electric motors. Liked to a 90 kWh battery pack, they offer 600 kW and a range of 400 km. This makes the EL1 an incredibly fast vehicle, reaching 100 km/h in a mere 2.8 seconds and 200 km/h in 10 seconds.

E-Legend designed the EL1 to be completely track-ready as they intend to take it to the Nurburgring. They say that it should be able to complete two complete laps at full tilt.

It won’t be long until E-Legend intends to put the EL1 into production, but they will only make thirty models. Following those thirty EVs will be two additional models that are still in their planning phase.
