Porsche has just added 911 GTS variants to their range of 922-generation of cars. This range currently includes the Carrera, Carrera 4 and the Targa 4. It boasts slightly improved performance but also an array of visual upgrades to both the exterior and interior.
The 911 GTX variants will stand out for Porsche.
To set the 911 GTS from the rest of the Porsche models, the company has darkened many exterior elements like the rims of the LED headlights and daytime running lights. More exterior details receive a black silk gloss finish, however, buyers can choose for those elements to be in high-gloss black. The wheels, finished in black, are 20-inch in the front and 21-inch at the rear.
The Sport Design package will add additional changes to the body which are further changed by the unique taillight clusters. In November 2021, Porsche will also offer a Lightweight Design package to the 911 GTS. This will reduce the kerb weight by 25 kg by using lighter materials, a lightweight battery and removing the rear seats.
Porsche’s own version of Alcantara trim.
The cabin gets a whole load of Race-Tex trim, which is Porsche’s version of Alcantara. This is applied all over with Carmine Red contrast stitching or Crayon if optionally chosen. This material is extended to the Sports Seats, which have 4-way electric adjustment, and the GT Sport multifunction steering wheel.
The interior is complete with the Sport Chrono package with mode switch, the Porsche Track Precision app and a tyre temperature display.
0.3 seconds faster than the previous generation.
All 911 GTS models will be powered by a 3.0-litre flat-six turbocharged petrol engine capable of 353 kW and 570 Nm. This is mated to an eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK), but buyers can opt for a seven-speed manual gearbox with a 10 mm shortened throw. Together with the standard options, this will move the GTS to 100 km/h from a standstill in a mere 3.3 seconds.
Additionally, Porsche has upgraded the suspension and stopping power of the 911 GTS. A bespoke suspension system derived from the Turbo’s chassis set-up has been added with the Turbo’s braking system.
