The second-generation of the Renault Captur is making its way to South Africa while a new RS Line variant has been released. Set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2021, we are not sure if the sporty styled RS Line version will available locally but the announcement is positive news.

The RS Line trim will not come with any performance upgrades but it will have updated looks with its badge. This includes a new front bumper, honeycomb grille up front and a fake rear diffuser and chrome-trimmed tailpipes at the back. There has to be another way to make the rear of a car look sporty without a fake diffuser. Do you have any good ideas?
Renault gave some stylish 18-inch Le Castellet alloy wheels to the Captur RS Line to ride on.
The cabin will have more colour with red stitching on the seats and perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel. The dashboard features a carbon finish and a 10-inch display. This comes connected to front and rear parking sensors and a reverse camera. A wireless charging pad will also come standard at this level.
Further interior updates include aluminium door-sill plates and tinted rear windows.
Both available and future engine options.
While there are no mechanical upgrades, the Captur will get the same engine options. These options are a 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbocharged engine that produce 74 kW and 160 Nm or 96 kW and 240 Nm respectively. The range-topping models will have outputs of 114 kW and 270 Nm, including Renault Captur RS Line.
These come with the option of a manual gearbox or a dual-clutch transmission. A 1,5-litre diesel engine is also available with 70 kW/240 Nm attached to a six-speed manual gearbox. A hybrid version should also become available later on.
