The all-new third-generation Nissan Qashqai has been revealed after many teasers. This SUV has been an incredibly popular option for many and with this updates, it comes with several upgrades. The best news is that it will come to South Africa in 2021, however, Nissan did not give any hint at a timeline.

Design.
For the most part, the 2021 Nissan Qashqai remains mostly the same with one large change to the front end. It features what Nissan is calling boomerang headlights. They have a completely different shape and are much slimmer than previous generations. 20-inch wheels will also be offered to buyers.
New lightweight material and improved interior space can be thanked for the use of the new Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance’s CMF-C platform. Nissan claims improved head, knee and shoulder space.
Inside the cabin is a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a nine-inch infotainment screen. The latter comes with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. More tech includes a 10.8-inch Head-up display, a wireless charging pad and 4 USB charging ports.
Performance.
Powering the Nissan Qashqai is a 12 V mild-hybrid 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It comes with two power derivatives – 103 KW/ 240 Nm and 116 kW/260 Nm. This comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox but there will be an automatic option. This automatic CVT will come with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive get an Xtronic badge.
