Brabus B45 hyper hatch

Brabus B45

The German tuner Brabus has just revealed their latest project, the B45. They took a Mercedes-AMG A45 S and turned it into even more of a monster. It was more than just a special mapping for the engine management system though. Here are the details.

Updated looks on the Brabus B45.

In terms of looks, the bodywork remains untouched with the only change being the 20-inch alloy wheels finished in polished black. The B45 can be lowered by up to 30 mm thanks to new height-adjustable sports springs.

Brabus is also offering several optional add-ons for the cabin. These include illuminated stainless-steel scuff plates, alloy pedals, velour floor mats and fine leather upholstery.

How much more can the engine give?

Brabus took the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and tuned it perform even better. This took it from 310 kW and 500 Nm to 331 kW and 550 Nm. Brabus say this will get the B45 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The top speed remains an electronically limited 270 km/h.

As we mentioned earlier, this was more than just a special mapping for the engine management system. Brabus added a Brabus PowerXtra CPC auxiliary control unit, Brabus BoostXtra adapter and a special duct for the airbox.

Brabus is offering the B45 with a three-year/100,000 km warranty.
