Toyota has given upgrades to the Quantum and Hiace Ses’fikile people-movers in South Africa. Both receiving an upgrade while the Quantum sees the removal of certain derivatives. Here are the updates to the two models.
Toyota updates the Quantum.
The range as a whole has been reduced to just six derivatives. This is due to Toyota removing all models without air-conditioning from the Panel Van and Crew Cab ranges based on customer feedback. The Toyota Quantum models will also gain a fresh set of wheels to ride on. Every model now gains sixteen-inch alloy wheels as opposed to the steel wheels they had before.
The rear-view mirror now features an auto-dimming function and reverse camera display. This feature will also appear on the Quantum Panel Van and Crew Cab derivatives.
Hiace Ses’fikile was made a little safer.
With the growing pandemic and everyone doing what they can to reduce the spread of Covid-19, Toyota has given the Hiace Ses’fikile people mover a new driver guard. From Toyota, this is to improve the safety of both the driver and passengers. All Hiace Ses’fikile models produced from October 2020 will feature the driver guard.

All Quantum models ship standard with a nine-service/90,000 km service plan with 10,000 km intervals and a three-year/100,000 km warranty. Hiace Ses’fikile models ship with a six-service/60,000 km service plan and a warranty matching that of the Quantum.
