Limited-edition Porsche Boxster 25 Years

Porsche Boxster 25 Years

It has been 25 years since the very first Porsche Boxster arrived and to celebrate, a limited-edition 25 Years model has been revealed. Porsche will only produce 1250 models of the Boxster 25 Years and they are currently available for order. The car itself will become available at the end of March 2021.

New design elements on the Porsche Boxster 25 Years.

This wouldn’t be a car anniversary if it didn’t reference an older model or concept in some way. The Boxster 25 Years references the Boxster concept that was shown at the 1993 Detroit Motor Show. It comes complete with a reinterpretation of the colour Neodyme. A “copper-like shimmering brown” that stands out against the finish options:

The Neodyme can be seen on the 20-inch alloy wheels, side air intakes and the nomenclature lettering. Finally, the fabric convertible top is embossed with ‘Boxster 25’. The fabric is red as standard but is also available in black.

The cabin is dominated by the deep red Bordeaux leather trim contrasted with Aluminium inserts. This includes the 14-way electrically adjustable sports seats and the door stills. The latter featuring ‘Boxster 25’ lettering.

A bigger, stronger engine.

Unlike the previous generation, this limited-edition Porsche will be powered by a 4.0-litre six-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine, the same one that is in the GTS 4.0. It will produce 294 kW and 420 Nm and is mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

With the latter option, Porsche says that this car will reach 100 km/h in just four seconds and a top speed of 294 km/h.

As standard, the Boxster 25 Years will feature the Sport Chrono package, Porsche Active Suspension Management sports suspension and Porsche Torque Vectoring.
