Mitsubishi has released its “first” teaser for the next-generation 2021 Outlander. It’s due to go on sale in February 2021 with its first debut in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. The international launch should follow soon after, including our own in South Africa.
“We are excited about the future design direction the all-new Outlander will give our customers.” – Nic Campbell, General Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa.
What do you know about the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander?
The exterior design seems to go check the same boxes a facelift would. An update to the brand’s current design language. For Mitsubishi, it’s the Japanese term“I-Fu-Do-Do” which means authentic and majestic. This will change the front the most with a new “Dynamic Shield” design concept.
“The OUTLANDER is an iconic SUV for the company, so when we developed the next-generation model, we took inspirations from our rich SUV heritage to realize a bold and confident styling with a solid stance that excites our customers. The all-new OUTLANDER is the first model epitomizing the new generation of Mitsubishi design and the frontrunner of our design strategy.” – Seiji Watanabe, Division General Manager of Design (Head of Design), MMC.
We can expect more news about the 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander to be released in the new year. We expect a second teaser but hope for more details to talk about.
