In the wake of the recently revealed GT Black Series, Mercedes-AMG has done a full update on their base GT coupe and roadster models. According to Mercedes-AMG, this GT has been enhanced and the power proves it. With this new update, the GT S derivatives have been officially discontinued, likely caused by what we can assume will be the next generation of sports cars in 2021.
What’s new in the Mercedes-AMG GT. 
A total of 40 kW has been given to the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 which now has a peak output of 390 kW! It will remain rear-wheel drive but with a few additions. The Mercedes-AMG GT will come with AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive damping, electronic locking differential on the rear axle and AMG high-performance composite braking system finished with red brake callipers as standard. In addition, a lithium-ion starter battery has been added as well as a new Race drive programme.
Buyers will have the option of active rear-axle steering in conjunction with the AMG Dynamic Plus package.
The addition of Night Edition. 
The upgraded Night Edition will be available on both coupe and roadster variants. This will include many additional features that include AMG Exterior Night Package, black brake callipers, dark-chrome grille, black elements for the headlamps and mixed-size tyres (19 and 20-inch) finished with matte-black wheels.
The list goes on as the Night Edition GT also gets a carbon-fibre roof, AMG Performance seats, AMG Interior Night Package, AMG steering wheel, Nappa leather upholstery and lots of black piano lacquer trim.
Mercedes-AMG has clearly been very busy lately and it has been paying off. Not only did we get to see their Black Series GT, but now a revised base GT and Night Edition. We look forward to seeing whatever comes next!
