Mercedes-Benz has recently released a teaser of the face for the new S-Class. This will mark the 7th-generation or W223-generation S-Class sedan. While Mercedes-Benz has not revealed much, we can still take a closer look at what we do know.
With only the image above, Mercedes-Benz only gave a general time plan and no specific dates. With the current global pandemic, exact dates are difficult to plan for. Although, Mercedes-Benz plans for the world premiere to be in the second half of 2020 and production to begin after that in a new facility.
“This year is a special year, as we will launch our new flagship: the next generation of the S-Class. It will be a technological masterpiece. Its predecessor has already raised the bar, but the new S-Class will be exceptional.” – Ola Källenius, chairman of the board at Daimler and Mercedes-Benz
What is new for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class
With what Ola Kallenius said, we can expect a lot of technology, more than the previous generation. Mercedes-Benz has also mentioned more advanced artificial intelligence. Maybe we can have conversations with this S-Class. Taking a closer look at the image teased by Mercedes-Benz of the new S-Class, we first notice the very large chrome grille and headlight design. In those headlights we see the daytime running LEDs running along the top. The front bumper is also a new design, matching the shapes of the rest of the car.
Although the teaser did not mention anything about the equipment, this Mercedes-Benz S-Class is highly likely to continue using the 2.9-litre straight-six engine with mild-hybrid technology. It will probably feature many autonomous driving assistance features and hopefully some brand-new gadgets.
Overall, we are very excited to see what the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has to offer after this teaser.
