Once, long ago, a legend called the Supra traveled the roads. Now back from the history books comes the all new 2020 Toyota Supra. After being teased with concepts, there is a lot to look forward to with this amazing new sports car. Now, Toyota Supra fans have been disappointed and they are not to blame, because the car is mostly a BMW Z4.
An amazing new exterior
Toyota made the Supra look stunning. It really does stand out as a new sports car and carries that aura of awe when you see it. From the side view you may think, “have I seen this before?” You would be right as it was made to be reminiscent of the Toyota 2000GT, which is a really nice idea to add a bit of the car’s history into the design.
Climbing inside
Once we enter the car, the Japanese design leaves us for German and we really see the BMW in it. The seats are incredibly comfortable, and everything is nicely finished. You will find all the features you could expect from a top of the range BMW. Not entirely a bad thing, it is very neat and functional, everything is where you would want it to be, including all the technology. If we turn to the back, there is a 290-liter boot and even a spot for a baby seat. So, despite it being a sports car, it can fit in a fair amount.
If you pay a bit more, you can get the Supra Pro. The Pro includes leather seats, wireless charging, extra speakers and a heads-up display that shows your speed and navigation through augment reality.
Under the hood
Opening the car up we find a turbocharged six-cylinder engine that Toyota says makes 335 horsepower. Every one of these Supras comes with an eight-speed automatic and is rear-wheel drive. There is rumor of their being more options in the future like a manual transmission and a cheaper four-cylinder model.
