Black Rhino Wheels counterfeits have been found across South Africa. Treads Unlimited and TiAuto have still been working with the SAPS to remove the counterfeits from the market. It would be advised to make sure that your wheels are not counterfeit.

Although they have not disclosed a number, the SAPS has been very active in the seizure of these counterfeit wheels.

Black Rhino wheels quality

Black Rhino creates wheels for big cars that carry heavy loads. It may be tempting for someone to grab a deal when it comes to this brand of wheels as they are expensive. Their price is a sign of quality as very precise aluminium alloys and design goes into the built to carry high weight.

BE WARNED that these counterfeits aren’t just fake but dangerous. They cannot hold the weight your car needs, some cannot even hold the weight of some vehicles.

Spotting counterfeits

It can be difficult to spot a fake. That is why Black Rhino Facebook have posted pictures to help.

In addition, if you go to any Tiger Wheel & Tyre fitment centre, they will give your tires a free inspection and wheel balancing. Make sure you have about 15 minutes to wait when you do this.

If your wheels turn out to be counterfeits, Tiger Wheel & Tyre will advise you on wheel purchase and offer a 15% discount.

We then suggest you inform Treads Unlimited about where you got them from. They are offering R5000 reward for leads to other counterfeits.

If you are a driver with or looking for Black Rhinos, be safe and only buy from proper dealers.
