If you bought the vehicle from a dealer who is a member of one of the trade associations detailed here they may be able to help. There is a code of practice for dealing with complaints:
You can go to court or use a trade association conciliation/arbitration scheme. A consumer adviser/solicitor can explain the procedure.
If you are a member of the AA, they can provide legal advice if you have a problem with buying a used vehicle.
