ERMELO DEALER RECEIVES MERCEDES-BENZ SOUTH AFRICA DEALER OF THE YEAR HONOURS

Pretoria/ De Wit Motors of Ermelo has been announced the winner of the prestigious ‘Chairman’s Award’ at the Mercedes-Benz South Africa (MBSA) Dealer of the Year 2010 Awards function. De Wit Motors was selected by the MBSA President and CEO, Dr Hansgeorg Niefer, as the company’s top-performing dealership for having demonstrated highest achievement and performance excellence.

“De Wit Motors sets itself apart by consistently applying the ‘stretch principle’.  As soon as something is improved or a target is met, the dealership team, lead by Johan Coetzer, would look for innovative ways to further improve on this, hence they continually extend their business achievements,” says Dr Niefer.

The Chairman’s Award is the ultimate accolade to be bestowed on any dealership in the Mercedes-Benz SA dealer network. Competing for the Chairman’s Award, are all four brand centre category winners, together with the four independent and four market centre category winners.

When selecting the dealer for the Chairman’s Award, both quantitative and qualitative measures are taken into consideration. These include the hard facts reflected in the scorecards, as well as the qualitative elements which include attitude, willingness and cooperation, community involvement, staff development, and support for MBSA’s strategic initiatives.

Brand centres are major metropolitan dealerships which represent exclusively any one brand from the Mercedes-Benz SA stable, providing in all the customer services including sales, servicing, parts, financing and merchandising.  The market centres and the independent dealerships represent more than one brand in a particular region.

De Wit Motors is an independent dealer operating in the Ermelo region for the brands – Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles, Mitsubishi Motors products, and Freightliner and Mitsubishi FUSO.
